Vehicle is as expected drive wise but a little niggle is that the accelerator pedal is slightly lower than the brake pedal, so with your foot resting on its heel you cannot just slide you foot across onto the brake pedal as in most cars, instead you have to lift off and then brake. Not major but used to cars having it the other way and sometimes it does make you foot get slightly stuck if you do not lift clear enough. The DAB radio reception is very poor, the internet forums for the VW Tiguan suggest that it is not the DAB+ radio and suffers form bad reception. As an example my tiny portable DAB radio picks up a station from within my garage but the car radio does not even find the same station when outside or travelling. Very poor for a reputable car manufacturer.

Comfortable to driver. Has a good load capacity even more so with back seats fold down. I like the lane wandering alert. For the middle of the range SUV (and I have owned 3/driven 3 others) I find this is the best one to date. I'm seriously thinking that this make and model will also be the next one I choose.

The VW Tiguan autobox and engine are not as good as my previous seat ateca which has been a surprise considering it the same underneath. I would go back to a seat next time.

It's a great all round, practical car that isn't too big and doesn't hurt your pocket too much. There is just about enough power with a full load to not over-work the engine too, all in all a really good vehicle that I'd consider buying outright in future
