I don't find this as comfortable as the previous version. The seat squabs are too long for my shorter legs. Having no physical buttons for climate and other functions is awkward on the move and quite dangerous. The infotainment has hung on numerous occasions with front assist and Lane assist and SOS malfunctions until you stop and power off the car. There is lots I like but I preferred the previous version. It seems the trend from manufacturers to cut costs and stick what is basically a tablet computer on a dashboard instead of buttons Is really annoying which many users and columnists have mentioned before.

The windscreen wiper speeds do not start slow enough and there is too much of a gap between speeds. We hate that the lane assist comes back on after every time the engine is turned off - there should be an option to permanently turn this off. The sat nav won't find street names, only postcodes. The sat nav doesn't help with which lane to be in adequately. Middle compartment for drink is an awkward shape compared to previous Leon. Display for controls e.g. temperature, volume in the middle do not light up in the dark. Voice command doesn't work very well. I like the phone charging capability. I like the automatic lights at night. Good to have separate temperature controls in the back of the car. Like the heating thing to clear fogging of the side mirrors. Like the parking sensors. Good look to the car.

The Seat Leon FR was not even on our radar but I'm really glad it was in the sales dept of the lease company. I year in and we are loving this car. Its nippy, comfy and the electronic functions are really handy. Also leasing was new to us. The whole experience has been great. We will definitely be doing it again

Very practical, plenty of room. I think it feels more underpowered than I expected but overall very pleased.

Heating temperature controls under the control screen are not lit up at night. Only other option is accessing them through the screen menus which is not safe whilst driving. We are forced to use the controls regularly as the automatic climate control appears to just run the fans too high all the time, not like our previous cars that have worked well. Having to turn off the obtrusive lane guidance as a three button process every time is annoying. VAG do not have the UX right in their new cars. It’s nearly there but the few niggles are annoying on a daily basis. The cleaner, ‘no button look’ is good but the balance against practicality and safety whilst using the controls is not correct. This remains a bit frustrating one year on even after re-reading the instruction manual and lots of experimentation. This would be horrendous for someone using the car for a short period of time i.e. as a hire car or a second car not used that often. The ride quality of the car is a little unsettled on rougher tarmac compared with some other cars with equally as stiff, sporty suspension. Our previous SE Leon model felt the same even with softer suspension. In our our opinion the ride is an acceptable compromise at this price point. These are the only gripes, overall this is a great car for the money and we would definitely have another if they continue to be such good value for money.
