The brakes squeak, which is disappointing for a car of this overall quality. Also, the day to day maintainence requirements (e.g tyre pressures, exact oil type, adblue requirements) were not easy to find, as the manufacturers service booklets are written in euro-speak. A simple written tailor-made sheet with the essential information would be very useful. The acceleration lag period has been disappointing, though I appreciate that it is a diesel model. Other than that, I am pleased with the car, although I will probably opt for an SUV next time.

This vehicle does everything so well it's very easy to focus on small issues. The biggest challenge with this vehicle will be what to replace it with when the lease ends next year.

The car is a wonderful drive on motorways but urban not so, noticeably poor handling and slow gear response. Specs on the standard equipment is high compared to other brands. The mpg in warm weather is good. Disappointments include the loud diesel engine, when you drive this car you know your in a diesel unlike the Audi or BMW. If I do buy another Mercedes it will be petrol. The seats are like sitting on bricks, I use several cushions to alleviate pain. Service was completed this week at a cost of £315, something that took under an hour to complete. I assumed servicing would be every 2 years as with Audi and BMW and thus did not include maintenance package. Mercedes kept car for 3 days, I had a complaint: rattle from boot and from glass roof both rattles they failed to fix (time for a new car). There are lots of design faults in equipment layout and functionality . My biggest dislike is the console, it is made from piano black, you touch it you blemish it, mine full of scratches. I might sound censorious but the kudos of a Mercedes badge is still far superior than any other brand.
