Too many persistent warnings that cannot be switched off. Everything from “distracted driver” ( for no obvious reason) to speed alerts and automatic braking that’s positively dangerous

Lovely car. Only slight issue is the stiff suspension making the drive a bit hard. Rest absolutely perfect.

This car is a dream on long journeys as very comfortable and not tiring to drive. However, the acceleration is not great and some of the electronics are annoying. I have issues with the 'speed limit' indicator getting mixed up and giving incorrect readings. The insurance is high but fuel economy is good. It has lots of space for bags etc. I have not found the in car entertainment that great - perhaps I am not using it correctly. I am glad I leased it but will not re-new.

The times I’m driving the most pleasing aspect is the power when needed also I find the fuel consumption is very good. My wife uses it more for her work as she doesn’t like reversing at the best of times she finds having the camera a godsend in her words 😁 along with a very comfortable drive.

Like: interior comfort, equipment levels, build quality, looks Dislikes: performance, oversensitive driver aids, automatic handbrake that doesn’t stay on when engine turned off and restarted

Lovely design, interior, manual gear change and good technology. The Skyactiv X engine does need working hard to make swift progress, and subsequently fuel economy is not as good as hoped for (but on a motorway run high 40s is easily attainable). I have owned the previous generation Mazda 3, and the ride comfort is harsher and handling not as sharp, and I think this partly down to new model having a torsion beam at the rear rather than the independent rear suspension of the old model. Still drives well for a family hatch and is a very quiet cruiser on the motorway.
