This car has so many bugs in it, this is the 2nd cupra I’ve leased, the latter being a replacement because the 1st Cupra’s electrics completely stopped working. I assumed it was just that car, unfortunately not, this car has issues with parking cameras and sensors not working, a blank screen when starting the car, or even when driving. The touch screen is slow and sometimes unresponsive which makes it dangerous to use when driving, the anti collision is ridiculously sensitive and breaks hard when a car is well ahead of you. Overall this is probably the worst car I have ever driven and it will he a long time before I lease or buy one in the future.

Very good vehicle but the interior electronic and safety features are a total let down. This is a sporty car but all of the safety features are trying to stop it being used as such. the heater controls are awful, the entertainment system is clunky and not at all user friendly, they have moved all the buttons to touch screen but that just makes everything harder to use and obviously you have to move from one to the other so you can't use the satnav while changing the heater controls or using the phone or changing the radio. The lane assist is obviously not suitable for narrow UK roads, the adaptive cruise control is so safety conscious that it won't allow you to overtake anything so makes it practically useless. you can't use the volume control when the ignition is off, The temperature and volume controls under the touch screen are unlit so you have no idea where they are at night and if you hit the wrong heater control then it un sync's the heater never to be sync'd again! The reversing camera only works when it feels like it, the key to unlock the door won't work from more than 4ft away from the vehicle and even then required half a dozen presses to get it to work, the boot lid sometimes doesn't respond when you press the key, the keyless entry works maybe 50% of the time, if you want to play music from a USB it totally ignores it and tries to play music from your phone instead. Oh and the heated seats randomly come on when you adjust the temperature from hot to cold (although SEAT have just fixed that). The alloys stick out further than the tyres so the chances of scraping the alloy wheels is ever present even on really low kerbs, and the constant messages that flash up saying take your foot off the pedal, drive in the centre of the lane make me want to use control alt delete on the entire system. On the plus side it's comfortable, fast when you have spent 20min disabling all of the unnecessary safety features that automatically go back on when you turn off the ignition and a very good looking car. Would I have one again? No the other makes of cars I have had are comparable in pretty much every way but their electronics and safety features are way more user friendly.

Handling not as smooth as other vehicles, 0-30 acceleration not as effective as I would like

Great driving car and get good comments as a bit different to other cars. Lack of basic items such as auto boot, heated seats of a car of this price. Had a slight knocking sound from delivery on front passenger wheel side and twice into Cupra garage who say it’s a known fault and can’t be fixed. If it wasn’t a lease car would of returned car as not acceptable on a new car especially if I had paid for it myself rather than lease.

Car is excellent, handling, fuel economy, comfort, looks. Drive’s just like a 3series BMW. But hand problems with the infotainment screen just under a month after taking delivery. Touch screen just failed, & seeing almost everything is operated via the touchscreen, almost impossible to even increase/decrease heating, radio, sat nav, etc. it would sometimes work via voice activation, but not always & with winter coming was a bit concerned? Was referred to Cupra garage, who tried to reset it, twice, but eventually had to order a new screen. THAT WAS 9 months ago, still not a word from the Cupra garage!!! After a few months I gave the screen a good firm poke with my finger, & on it came!! It’s still not right but cupra don’t know it’s working, terrible service from them. I’ll still wait to see if they come back to me with a new screen unit. Shame really because the car is great otherwise.
