Car is fine, nice to drive but there are a few annoying niggles. You cannot set the lane assist to stay off and need to reset every time you start a new journey. There is a large pillar that obscures the view out of the driver side window. It is very heavy on tyres and they wear out quickly.

Cupra Born FAQs

Yes, the Born is closely related to the ID.3. Both are manufactured by Volkswagen and the Born is based on VW's MEB platform. 

However, the Born is part of the performance-oriented Cupra brand is one of the most popular electric hatchbacks on the market.

The range of the Born depends on what powertrain you choose. With the 59kWh battery, you'll get up to 265 miles, while the 77kWh battery increases range up to 348 miles. 

With the range-topping VZ version, the 79kWh battery returns up to 372 miles of range. 

Like its electric range, charging times depend on what powertrain you select. Using an AC 11kW charger, the 59kWh battery can fully recharge in around 6hrs 30mins, while the other two will do it in over 8 hours. 

Rapid charging is available on the VZ version, which takes the battery from 10-80% in just 26 minutes.
