BMW X1 FAQs
How much does it cost to lease the BMW X1?
The BMW X1 is available to lease from as little as £278.42, including VAT per month with Nationwide Vehicle Contracts. This price excludes the initial rental and processing fee.

Is the BMW X1 expensive to maintain?
Servicing costs for the BMW X1 can be pricey. According to Kwik Fit, annual servicing costs for the BMW X1 range from £152 to £212, depending on the engine size. These costs may be higher if a dealership completes the service.
To keep your BMW X1 in good working condition, you need to service and maintain it according to the manufacturer's guidelines. Regular servicing is not only an essential part of the vehicle's warranty but is also an important part of your lease agreement.
You can help spread the cost by taking out a vehicle maintenance package with your lease agreement for a fixed monthly fee included in your monthly rental. A maintenance package consists of all scheduling servicing, replacement tyres, MOT and other repair costs required during the contract term.
Please note, if you choose not to take out a maintenance contract with your lease vehicle, you will be responsible for all maintenance and servicing costs throughout your contract.
How reliable is the BMW X1?
The BMW X1 has a good reputation for reliability, finishing in first place out of 21 cars in WhatCar's reliability survey for the family SUVs.
One advantage of car leasing is that you have fewer worries about reliability than if you purchased a vehicle. Used cars often come with hidden issues that could cost you lots of money over time. When you lease a vehicle, you get a brand-new model that includes the full manufacturer's warranty, usually for a minimum of three years, which typically covers any mechanical breakdowns and repair costs (exclusions apply).
What credit score do you need to lease a BMW X1?
To be eligible for BMW X1 leasing finance, most finance providers ask for a good to excellent credit score. Using Experian's scoring system, this equates to a credit score of 881 or more.
However, it is worth noting that no lender uses your credit score alone to approve or decline you for finance. Other factors also come into play, such as your ability to make regular payments on time and any other debts you may have.
