The A1 Sportback would be a good choice for a first car for a young driver. It’s well-built, has a good range of economical petrol engines, and comes standard with a good range of equipment.
However, it’s a bit more expensive than some of your more typical first cars and sits between insurance groups 16 to 38, so make sure you’ve saved up the pennies and can afford the monthly payments.
