With even more convenience, even more technology, 40% new components, 3 separate identities, and a unique combination of spaciousness and personality, the new Fiat 500L will be arriving on these shores in September, so get those orders in for leasing from Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
There will be three distinct versions of the car - Urban, Cross and Wagon - all with a choice of petrol and diesel engines, all with outstanding safety features, all with a flexible internal configuration, and all with the style and excitement of the Fiat 500 with the spaciousness and functionality of an MPV.
The 500L Look
The new Fiat 500L is a family car, albeit an iconic-looking family car. Fiat has always had the "moustache and badge" combo sitting proudly on the trapezoidal nose, upper headlights with chrome-plated elements and a lower cluster of lights (now with LED daytime running lights), but updates to the look transform it from a 50's looking car to that icon-looking style.
There is a revised front bumper with signature trapezoidal trim and chromed "studded" three-dimensional lower grille mesh at the head of the car, giving the car an elegant look. Yet the car still looks tough and expressively forceful on the road.
Available in ten pastel or metallic colours and with three types of roof - body-coloured, glossy black or white or matt black - the all now Fiat 500L gives customising customers a choice of no less than 36 colour combinations. And those 10 colours? Denim Blue (new), Sicilian Orange, Donatello Bronze, Bossa Nova White, Hip Hop Yellow, Darkwave Black, Minimal Grey, Heavy Metal Grey, Beatbox Green and Pasodoble Red. Enough there to excite even the most avid of personalisers.
The 500L space and personality
The interior of the new Fiat 500L is completely new, from the high-tech yet iconic updated dashboard to the restyled multifunctional steering wheel with added chrome accents.
Inside, passengers will find comfort, convenience, versatility and plenty of light, while the innovative wraparound glazing concept has improved its now class-leading visibility and ease of parking, thanks to its glazed A-pillar.
The dashboard's updated design features two circular instrument gauges on either side of a 3.5" colour graphic display that is enhanced by white backlighting and an innovative TFT colour digital display with a full set of useful information.
Optionally, on top, available as a fixed panel or electrically opening, the Fiat 500L features a 1.5m2 panoramic glass roof to make the interior even brighter.
Convenience is not forgotten inside, with new, larger storage compartments and the introduction of new comfort features, such as the central armrest; and there is a capacity for space beyond previous incarnations, with the Urban and Cross models offering 455 litres of space in the boot, and the Wagon up to 493 (with the two additional seats folded down.) With the rear seats folded and tumbled, capacity rises to 1480 litres for Urban and Cross and 1509 for the Wagon.

500L Engines

The petrol engine line-up includes the 1.4-litre 16V, delivering 95hp, and the 1.4-litre 16V T-Jet, delivering 120hp. The offering is completed by two diesel engines: the 95hp 1,300cc 16V MultiJet, also available with Dualogic transmission, and the 120hp 1,600cc 16V MultiJet. All engines comply with the Euro 6 standards and combine optimal performance with impressive fuel economy.
