Phil has been covering the automotive world since 2003, starting out in the world of Formula One for SportNetwork before switching to the more attainable world of new cars. He road tests around 150 cars a year, sharing his views with national newspapers such as The Scotsman and I, motoring and lifestyle magazines as diverse as Diesel and Eco Car magazine and Velvet, as well as countless websites across the globe. Never paid quite well enough to put his money where his mouth is, Phil likes to hunt the classifieds for unloved cars of the 80s and 90s, owning all sorts of undesirable cars over the years. He currently has a SAAB 9-3 and a Chevrolet Corvette, but is looking forward to the electric revolution reaching the pickup truck world.
